Composite Manhole covers & Frames provide the load-bearing performance required for demanding infrastructure while offering a much lighter alternative to conventional cast iron or concrete solutions. Their reduced weight allows faster installation, safer manual handling, and lower transportation costs without compromising structural strength.

C250

201c-composite-cover

Composite covers are designed to withstand medium-duty traffic load rating and demanding access for manhole cleaning or facility maintenance. The daily volume of vehicle traffic affects the service life of manhole covers. In general Conditions, the covers and frames ensure 20+ years of road service life at a competitive price compared to RTM products and metal manhole covers

B125

201b-tank-cover

The composite covers are available with a B125 load rating. For Telecommunication and electrical utility applications, the manhole lids are non-conductive. The Composite material is rust-free. The cover has no scrap value, that act as a public safety. Composite access covers also contribute to modern water management strategies by helping reduce Inflow and Infiltration (I&I), minimizing the risk of Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO).

A15

A15-composite-cover

Jinmeng’s highly engineered FRP composite covers are very durable and capable of withstanding harsh environments, including manhole tops in extreme temperatures and humidities. Designed to be non-rocking.Composite covers are operator-friendly, inert, and improve maintenance efficiency while reducing workplace injury risks associated with lifting heavy metal covers.

Hinged Structure offers easy opening and recovery of the manhole top that covers the manhole system, allowing hazardless and easy access for the underground manhole chambers.

Portable Manhole Cover Lifting Tool

Stable, portable, universal manual removal tool for easy and safe operation of large manhole covers over 900 mm in diameter

Manufacturing Composite Covers and Frames

JINMENG manufactures high-performance composite covers and frames using advanced Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) technology with hydraulic compression and electrical heating molding. Its proprietary polymer resin formulation combines precision-cut chopped short glass fibers with woven fiberglass reinforcement to maximize strength, stiffness, and surface durability.

Load Test

All proof load testing is done per an AASHTO /EN124-5 test setup. Proof load is applied to a steel plate in the center of the cover. After passing a basic load test, all covers and frames are carefully inspected. Cracks or permanent deformation are cause for rejection. Frequently, the core purpose of assessing load-bearing capability is to ensure that the manhole cover can resist static and dynamic loads equivalent to full-load trucks and vehicles, motorcycles, including impacts, vibrations,

Watertight Test

For some watertight/ gastight products,24 hours static testing will figure out real prevention of liquid (I&I) or (SSO)

JINMENG MANHOLE COVERS- URBAN INFRASTURTURE

No Crack Risk

non-crack-manhole-cover

Concrete manhole covers will crack in frequent traffic conditions, while composite covers have a D400 load rating and are ideal for main road manhole system constructions.

Rust Free

rusty-cast-iron-manhole-cover

Unlike cast iron and steel, composite materials do not rust. They resist water, sewage, salts, many chemicals, and corrosive environments, making them suitable for wastewater treatment plants, coastal infrastructure, and industrial facilities.

No Scrap Value

uncovered-manhole-hazzard

An uncovered manhole is a serious public safety and infrastructure hazard. It can affect pedestrians, vehicles, drainage systems, and utility networks. Composite covers have little or no scrap-metal value compared with cast iron, which can help reduce theft and the associated safety and maintenance problems.

Public Safety

vented-manhole-cover

A manhole explosion is a potentially severe infrastructure and public-safety event that can occur when combustible gases or vapors accumulate inside an underground chamber and are ignited. The hazardous gases dissipate through the vented holes and eliminate the risk of  an explosion hazard.

JINMENG customizes a full range of composite manhole covers to fit every covering purpose.

Composite covers are a practical alternative to traditional cast iron and steel covers for modern underground infrastructure.  Fiberglass is one of the most common reinforcing materials, widely used for the production of composite materials. Solid glass is fragile due to microscopic defects; drawing glass into extremely fine fibers removes this weakness.  Manufactured from reinforced polymer resin and chopped fiberglass to add resilient strength,  the resulting glass fibers offer high mechanical strength, flexibility, and resilience, even at elevated temperatures.

A composite manhole cover is designed to provide vertical separation and environmental protection while allowing maintenance personnel to reach pipes, cables, valves, pumps, and other equipment safely, and also allows easy removal of cleaning and clogging treatments for sewage service companies.  Depending on the application, covers can be manufactured in any configuration and supplied in different dimensions, surface patterns and embossing, nameplates, and load ratings. Structural customization such as watertight sealings, rocking and rattling control functions, vented holes or gastight designs are optional.

Applications of Composite Manhole Covers

Composite access covers are used across a wide range of infrastructure applications, including:

  • Sewer and wastewater systems
  • Stormwater and drainage networks
  • Electrical utility chambers
  • Telecommunications and fiber-optic networks
  • Water treatment facilities
  • Pump stations
  • Industrial facilities
  • Commercial properties
  • Gas stations and fuel infrastructure
  • Airports and transportation facilities
  • Municipal utility systems
  • Roadside and pedestrian access points

The correct cover should be selected according to load requirements, environmental conditions, opening dimensions, access frequency, sealing requirements, and applicable standards.

Composite manhole covers offer a combination of high strength, low weight, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, design flexibility, and reduced maintenance. For modern underground infrastructure, these characteristics make fiber-reinforced composite covers a practical alternative to traditional metal access covers where the material and load requirements are properly matched to the application.
